Making your Chunnel booking with Eurotunnel
When making your Eurotunnel Channel Tunnel train booking, you will need to know your preferred travel dates.
You will also be asked which "time slot" you will prefer. This is just to simplify the process and helps you get an idea of the prices available. Rather than ask for specific times of trains straight away, the Eurotunnel offer time slots as a general guidance on when you want to travel. If it's relevant to the type of ticket you buy, further into the booking process you will be asked to choose a specific train time.
Finally you will be taken to the secure area of the web site to complete payment and enter your personal details such as name and address. Simple!

Chunnel booking for Eurotunnel (with your car)
The Chunnel (Channel Tunnel) provides the rail link between England and France. The Chunnel "car trains" take cars from the Chunnel terminals (Folkestone and Calais). These Chunnel trains are super fast, and take thousands of passengers between England and France via the Chunnel every day.
How to find the best prices when you make your Chunnel Booking
Always book in advance and if possible travel at a quieter time to get the best prices. If you leave it late to book, the price is likely to be higher than booking in advance. If you travel at a peak time, the price will be more expensive.
There are several different fares available to use the Chunnel trains. Below is a summary of the various ways you can make your Chunnel booking:
The standard fare for the Chunnel starts at around £49 for a single trip. Buying a single fare also gives you the option of the length of stay you need for your trip. The £49 price is available for the off peak times. Peak time bookings are more expensive.
If you're staying in France just 1 night, then consider the "Overnight fare" tickets.
The advantages of the FlexiPlus Fare allow you to arrive at the departure terminal early (or late!) and still travel on the next available departure and change your ticket at no extra cost.
It is possible to buy a Standard fare ticket for one journey and a FlexiPlus Fare for the other journey. This is often beneficial for the return journey, after a long time travelling across the continent, it's nice for weary travellers to know you can just hop on the next available train.
A FlexiPlus ticket allows you the chance to use the benefits of the Check-in lounge facilities and priority boarding.
